Advance tickets available for select daily tours departures. Tickets for other tours are available in the museum bookshops on a first come-first served basis the day of the tour. Tours often sell out early.

 

Check in at bookshop with print-at-home ticket no later than 15 minutes prior to designated tour departure.

 

Tickets purchased online are for specified tour departures only. Those tickets purchased online which are not redeemed for the specified tour departure will be considered a donation to the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust.

 

No exchanges or refunds.

 

ArchiTrek tours DO NOT depart from the Home and Studio. Departure address is listed on the ticket. For directions to departure sites, call 708.848.1976. Check in at departure site no later than 15 minutes prior to departure time.

 

Museums have limited access to persons with mobility restrictions. Stair-climbing is necessary. Limited provisions for hearing and visually impaired.

 

Cameras, large bags, food, beverage, umbrellas, strollers and chewing gum are not permitted in the museums.

 

Museums are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. Home and Studio closed the last week in January for Preservation in Action.

 

Tickets for Historic District tours and other special events are available at the bookshops. Call 708.848.1976 for more details. WrightPlus tickets are available via the link on www.wrightplus.org after March 1st of the year of the event.

Due to heavy traffic in the greater metropolitan area, please allow ample time for travel to museums. Allow a minimum of 60 minutes when traveling between Oak Park and Hyde Park.

By car  : Oak Park is 9 miles west of downtown Chicago. Take I-290 to the Harlem exit. Travel north on Harlem Avenue 1.5 miles to Chicago Avenue. Turn east on Chicago Avenue. The museum is in the third block on the south side of the street.

By El from downtown Chicago  : Take the westbound Green Line to Oak Park Avenue. Walk under the tracks and travel north on Oak Park Avenue to Chicago Avenue. Turn left (west) and walk three blocks to the museum. (Approximate walking time: 10-15 minutes)

By Metra from downtown Chicago  : Take the westbound Northwestern Line to the Oak Park station. Walk north on Marion Street Mall to Lake Street. Marion Street jogs left at Lake Street, continue on Marion Street to Chicago Avenue. Turn right (east) onto Chicago and walk one block to museum.

By car  : Robie House is located on the campus of the University of Chicago in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago. Take Lake Shore Drive to the 53rd Street exit. Travel west on 53rd Street to Woodlawn Avenue. Turn left (south0 on Woodlawn and travel to the corner of 58th Street and Woodlawn Avenue.

By bus from downtown Chicago  :  Take the #6 Jeffrey bus to 57th Street and Stony Island. Walk west on 57th Street to Woodlawn Avenue. Turn left (south) onto Woodlawn Avenue and walk one block to the corner of 58th Street and Woodlawn Avenue.

By Metra from downtown Chicago  :  Take the University Park Line to the 59th Street exit. Walk west five blocks to Woodlawn Avenue. Turn right (north) and walk one block to the corner of Woodlawn Avenue and 58th Street.
